I’m Melissa. Most people call me Mel. I’m a mama to two boys and a lover of all things outdoors. I'm a marketer who hearts good grammar. I also love Twitter, my Mac and all things techy.
This is Daddy Roo. We met in 1995, got married in 2000 and had Big Roo seven years later. Yeah, we like to take our time. Daddy Roo plays soccer, loves cooking more than I do and takes sarcasm to a level few people can. He’s awesome.
Big Roo is our 4-year-old ball of energy. He’s all boy except for the pink bear he carries around. I embrace the contradiction. He’s already a fan of hiking and camping.
The youngest of the Roo family. He loves eating kiwis, chasing his brother and swinging in our backyard. He also loves attacking his brother with a squeal of laughter.

I hear ya there. I hide it from my kids and only pull it out when I feel emotionally prepared for it.
Oh, um, yeah… I guess this is our fault since we bought Big Roo his first play-do kit. Glad he’s having fun, but so sorry for you!
Ah girl, you know it’s all in jest! The thing is I LOVE Play-doh and we bought him a lot ourselves. It’s the mess I don’t like (and how it all ends up being a grey blob after awhile). HA!

Oh my goodness — yeah, when I ran a childcare thing at my old church, it was the easiest thing to get the kids all in one place — but the hardest thing to control.
My kids love it. I don’t mind it AS LONG AS IT STAYS ON THE TABLE! But we all know that NEVER happens!

Playdoh is evil! I can never make the animals that Evan demands I produce for him & some of it always ends up smooshed into the seams in the hardwood. Ugh.

Ah, playdough…..mine are past that stage, but I do use it at the elementary school I work at! I love to play with it, the smell brings back so many memories, both of my own childhood and when my kids were smaller!
But, it does get everywhere…..
Oh, the evil play doh. It winds up everywhere and if I’m not paying attention, my kids like to add water to it. Slimy play doh is not good.

Our oldest daughter is anal about mixing colors, while our son lives to mix all the colors together
Ah, good times! Good times! lol

Oooh I thought I’m the only crazy mama that hates them! My son loves to shred them to pieces after he’s done ‘creating’ whatever it is that he’s makin and don’t you just love how it sticks to their fingers too hahaha.
The play doh picture is awesome! My son is only one, so we haven’t gotten into that kind of excitement yet, but it is only a matter of time.
Really enjoying checking out your blog, and really appreciate your helpful comments tonight on my 31DBBB Blogfrog Discussion!
