My boys. Born three years apart to the DAY (and within 4 hours if you REALLY want to get technical).
Once you have two kids, it’s hard not to compare their features. Their eyes, their noses, their mouths… all those little pieces that uniquely tie them to Daddy Roo and me. On one hand, people tell me Little Roo looks JUST like Big Roo. And then others quickly point out the differences.
As their mama, I think they look like brothers for sure. But Daddy Roo and I didn’t produce identical offspring.
Just look:
I see:
- Different shaped eyes, although they both have big eyes
- Different skin tones (despite the Photoshop work I did to these, Little Roo is more redder toned.)
- Different face shapes
- Different eyebrows (Little Roo can furrow his brow like no other… well, just like Daddy actually)
But yet:
- Same button nose
- Nearly the same cheeks
- Same hair color (although in person, Little Roo has more than Big Roo did at this age)
- Same little line under their mouths
I wonder what difference another 1,096 days will make.

They are precious.
My girls are a little farther apart (1600 days) and they looked so much alike as infants. They couldn’t be more different now. Stopped by from SITS to say Hi this morning.
Good point! I’m curious to see how this changes as they get older!

Ummm…they look identical to me. I guess sometimes there are differences that only a mother can see
haha! I guess so- I can see every itty bitty difference (and similarity) between the two.
Oh, they are so beautiful! They do look so much alike. I completely agree – I still compare my children’s features, especially now that they are getting older. My son, now 14 looks much like my father, while my oldest daughter looks exactly like me, and my youngest daughter looks so much like her dad. Both girls, however, look very much alike ( and sound so much alike too, sometimes I can’t tell which is which without looking).
That’s too funny about not being able to tell without looking up. My sisters and I look and sound nothing alike but we are told we have the same mannerisms. I used to worked at Outback in college and years later my youngest sis worked there too. A mutual colleague always commented on how our mannerisms were exactly alike!
Sweet little guys!
They are precious. Thanks so much for the visit today!
Aww they are both absolutely adorable! Definitely related but unique. Thanks for stopping by today.
Oh what cuties! My little boy is 5 months. He has 2 big sisters- 6 and 8.
Oh my god! The cuteness! I love comparing my girls faces to find similarities. and comparing them to mine and Hubs face.
