The Beginning of an Outdoorsy Kids Bedroom

by melissa on January 18, 2010

With Little Roo’s due date quickly approaching, we’re also preparing to move Big Roo into a bigger room with his very own twin bed (he’s currently in the crib converted to a toddler bed).

The fourth bedroom, which is currently a putrid shade of peach, will be Big Roo’s new dwelling and we’ve decided on a cool outdoor theme (surprised, right?). It’s a work in progress but here’s a little taste of the bedding we’ve bought:

dwell owl twin bedding

Hoo Hoo! Hoo Hoo!

Big Roo was WAY excited that it had green in it (his favorite color) and as soon as Daddy Roo walked in the house, he ran over and said “look at my bed, Dada,” pointing to the duvet that hadn’t even been unfolded yet. Oh yes, he’s gonna LOVE when his room is all done.

Next up? Putting together the dresser we bought at IKEA yesterday, picking out (green) paint and coming up with ways to up the outdoorsy-ness. This is fun stuff.
